Job Overview: The Freight Quoting and Inside Sales Specialist will be responsible for managing inbound sales inquiries, generating freight quotes, and supporting the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and business growth. This role involves extensive customer interaction, coordination with the logistics team, and accurate pricing of freight services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound sales inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels.
  • Generate accurate and competitive freight quotes based on customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, quotes, and sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through lead generation and follow-up.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
  • Assist in preparing sales reports and forecasts for management review.
  • Support the sales team with administrative tasks and coordination efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Sales, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inside sales, customer service, or freight quoting.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in setting up and managing ocean, ground, and air modes, preferably at a freight forwarding company
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation industry practices.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
